vpod.tv co-founders Rodrigo SEPÚLVEDA (CEO) & Ivan COMMUNOD (COO) attended an invite-only gathering for "top tech entrepreneurs" of the internet industry at Martin Varsavsky's farm in Menorca (Baleares, Spain), 18-22 June 2009.

It was the 3rd time the Menorca TechTalk event has taken place, and it offered a great update on latest trends in Latin America and around the world in our industry. Pictures and videos of the event are being uploaded these days to the different social networks and UGC sites (Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, etc.).

Thanks again to vpod.tv investor and friend, Martin Varsavsky, for hosting us graciously and putting this fantastic event together at his farm.

vpod.tv CEO to speak at European Electronic Retailing Association annual meeting, Monte Carlo

vpod.tv CEO to speak at leading Spanish conference, La Red Innova

Next Tuesday at 16:20 in Madrid, at the "La Red Innova" conference, vpod.tv CEO Rodrigo Sepúlveda Schulz will join fellow industry executives from Sevenload, blip.tv and mobuzz.tv to discuss the economics of online video.

vpod.tv is also proud to be a media partner of the event and will showcase its technology as the official webTV of the event.

La Red Innova is the first forum on innovation and technology for Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets. We bring together the Latinamerican Internet leaders with their peers from Europe, USA and Asia to share experiences, ideas and projects.

An attendee of the event filmed the presentation. There was a technical glitch when vpod.tv was about to present customer use cases, but all was solved later, at about 00:23:00.

GDF Suez launches multi-screen WebTV with vpod.tv

On May 4th 2009, at its Annual General Meeting, French-based energy company GDF Suez unveiled its new corporate site: http://www.gdfsuez.com, designed by vpod.tv partner TequilaRapido.

The site features a strong multimedia section, with a new webTV at http://www.gdfsuez.tv.

Versions for the iPhone (http://iphone.gdfsuez.com) and mobile phones (http://wap.gdfsuez.com) were also launched. Internal deployment of an intranet webTV for the 200,000 employees is also under way.
vpod.tv was selected by GDF Suez as the technology partner to power these multi-screen webTVs for the ease of use and powerful backoffice, in addition for its support of multi-screen formats. All the front-end interfaces were built by agency TequilaRapido on top of vpod.tv's powerful APIs.

vpod.tv powers online video presence of Leroy Merlin, one of the largest European DIY retailers

Leroy Merlin have recently launched a new site under one of their existing brands "du côté de chez vous" (a show that used to run on French television): www.ducotedechezvous.com.

All video archives of this show are now online, with new content uploaded regularly. It's a very nice example of a full API integration between vpod.tv's platform and backoffice, and our customer's pre-existing CMS for the site management.

BancSabadell from Catalunya is one of the largest Spanish banks. They have deployed a whole range of WebTVs with vpod.tv solutions, internally on their intranet, on mobile phones and on the external web with a full screen interface.
